What to send when you hire Whatnot graphics

Send show links, the format, and the files you already have. A moodboard is not a brief, and a logo alone is not a kit.

On this page

What to send when you hire Whatnot graphics is a short packet: recent show links, the format you actually run, and the logo files you already have. Studios stall when the brief is a Pinterest board and a sentence that says 'make it pop.' The work is your room. We have to see the room.

This is the intake list. It is not a rebrand schedule and not a price sheet. There are no prices on this site. Pace a look change in rebrand a Whatnot show. Placement after the files exist: Whatnot OBS setup.

SendWhySkip it when
Two or three show linksChat, cam, and the card hole are visibleYou only have a profile with no recent live
Format and categoryA break board and a fashion frame are different filesYou have not picked a format yet
Logo PNG, colors, retired marksWe should not redraw a name you are leavingThe only file is a blurry story screenshot, and you have not said so
What to build firstOverlay plus one board beats a half-finished pileYou want every state on day one and you go live tomorrow
OBS or phone-onlyPhone-only cannot hold a layered kitYou are unsure and have not looked at your setup

Send two or three recent lives. A profile URL shows the avatar. A show shows where chat sits and how you hold the card. Mark one night that felt clear and one that felt messy. If you cannot find a messy one, you may not need a studio yet.

Skip hiring if you have never gone live. Make one honest thumb, do a show, then send the link. We design for a room that exists. A fantasy layout with no VOD becomes decoration you will fight.

Say the format in one line

Category: sports cards, TCG, fashion, toys, mixed. Format: the one you run most weeks. Length and how often you go live. Recurring bits: giveaway, pull cam, a second host. If you run three formats, rank them. The first kit follows the top of the list. The others wait.

A seller who writes 'a bit of everything' gets a vague frame and then complains the board does not match Saturday. Pick Saturday.

Files, and the thing you refuse

PNG or SVG logo, the colors you must keep, fonts if you actually use them, and any mark that must not appear. A phone photo of a logo is usable if you say it is all you have. Pretending it is a master file wastes a round.

Also say what you will not cover: a timer, a guest cam, a goal bar you already run. We will not bury a widget you need. If you have no OBS, say that in the first message. The honest recommendation may be a thumb, not a kit.

Copy this into the message

  1. Name and Whatnot link.
  2. Two or three recent show links. Note the messy one.
  3. Category and main format.
  4. Logo and colors. Say if a file is a placeholder.
  5. Build first: overlay, board, thumbs, or states.
  6. OBS, Streamlabs, or phone-only.
  7. Next show date. A date is a constraint. 'ASAP' is not.

Who should not hire yet: one casual show, no OBS, no repeated format. Use Canva for that thumb. Who should: the live frame, the board, and the thumbs disagree and you have shows to prove it. We deliver files you run. We do not host the show. Free Audit notes come by email within 48 hours. That is the public promise. It is not a same-hour emergency service.

No prices in this post. Scope depends on the kit. The packet above is what makes a next step concrete.

A brief that stalls, and the one that does not

The brief that stalls is three lines: a logo, the word 'clean,' and a note that you go live tomorrow. Nobody can see where chat sits, whether the product is a board or a garment, or which file is allowed to be redrawn. The first round becomes a guess. You then pay a revision to undo the guess. That revision was a missing URL.

The brief that moves is boring. Two show links, one marked messy. One line for category and the format you run most weeks. The logo, with a sentence if the file is a phone photo. What to build first: the live frame, the board, or the thumbs. OBS or phone-only. The date of the next show. That packet is enough to start. A moodboard can ride along. It cannot replace the links.

If you have never gone live, do not hire the kit. Make one honest thumb, run one show, then send the link. We design for a room that exists. A layout for a room you have not run becomes decoration you fight on night one, because the card hole and the chat were imagined.

Missing from the packetWhat gets guessedSend this instead
No show linkA frame that ignores chat and the cardTwo recent lives, one of them messy
'A bit of everything'A board that matches no SaturdayThe one format you run most weeks
Logo only, called a master fileA redraw of a blur you did not mean to approveSay it is a phone photo if that is all you have
No setup lineScenes you cannot placeOBS, Streamlabs, or phone-only, in the first message

Passwords never belong in the packet. Shopify logins and Whatnot passwords do not help a graphics job. Links and files do. If a show is private, send a screen recording of the layout. A recording that shows chat, the card, and the hole is enough. A brief we cannot open is the same as no brief.

FAQ

What should I send when I hire Whatnot graphics?

Show links, format, logo, what to build first, and whether you use OBS. A next show date. Not a 20-page deck.

Is a logo enough?

No. A logo without a show link produces a generic frame. Send the room.

Can I hire if I stream from my phone?

You can ask. Expect a smaller recommendation. Layered boards and scenes need OBS. Do not pay for files you cannot place.

Do you need my Shopify login or Whatnot password?

No. Links and files. Never send a password in a brief.

Where do revisions happen?

Discord is the working channel for file drops. Email is fine for the first packet. One channel. Not three apps saying different things.

If the packet is missing show links, reply to yourself and add them before you hit send. A studio that starts from a logo alone will design a frame for a room it has not seen, and you will pay for a revision that a URL would have prevented. Two links beat a paragraph about your vibe.

If a link is private, say so, and send a screen recording instead. A brief we cannot open is the same as no brief. Do not send passwords to get around that. A recording of the layout is enough to see chat, the card, and the hole.

Paste the packet into Free Audit, or open Discord and drop the show links first. Service home: Whatnot stream setup.
